JOINING MLO

Miami Lyric Opera is a Non-Profit Corporation registered in the state of Florida and authorized for tax exemption under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Its commitment is to present opera productions and classical musical events in South Florida. MLO also promotes the appreciation of opera by conducting workshops and individual lessons aimed at teaching classical singing and opera to novice and experienced singers.

As part of its Mission, MLO is committed to providing scholarships to qualified young talents to improve their musicianship and singing skills.

To finance the operation and create a Fund for scholarships, we rely on donations and contributions in addition to revenues produced by the sale of tickets. We highly appreciate the support from corporations, government authorities and individuals who wish to contribute to our efforts for expanding this important artistic expression in our community.

MEMBERSHIP: Individual and Corporations are welcomed to become Members of MLO, thus creating a permanent body that encourages and supports the work of Miami Lyric Opera.

Among the benefits offered to the members is the possibility to attend dress rehearsals, receive free tickets and become part of the consulting board as described below.

Applicable as of new members and renewals as per July 1st 2007

A percentage of the fees generated by the membership will go to the Scholarship Fund of MLO previously described.
